    Blue Majik Bowl

    Ingredients:

    1 heaped tsp E3Live Blue Majik powder 1 cup milk alternative
    2 frozen bananas, sliced
    1 scoop almond butter

    1 tbs vanilla extract (or 1 vanilla bean) 1 tbs yacon syrup
    1 tbs coconut oil
    pinch sea salt

    Toppings:

    Bee Pollen

    Oats

    Coconut Flakes

    Edible Flowers or Gogi Berries

    Directions:

    Blend all ingredients together in a high speed blender and serve in a bowl.

  • Boost Your Skin Metabolism

    Magazines, personal trainers, dietitians, and our favorite bloggers are always chiming in with tips for the best workout, diet, and trend to boost our body’s metabolism. But have you thought about giving your skin a high intensity workout as well? Your skin’s metabolic rate works in a similar way to your digestive metabolism. In it’s most basic form, the metabolism of the skin is the rate that cells turn over so that new baby cells can reach the surface, leaving plump, radiant skin cells to shine out and literally put our best face forward. Unfortunately, the cell renewal rate slows down as we age. The slowing is due to less blood circulation and less oxygen delivered to skin cells, which in turn slows cell function. 

    The skin renewal cycle is influenced by age, lifestyle, overall health condition and exposure to light. Your skin metabolism turns cells over at a rate of 14 days when you are a baby, hence their ever so smooth, soft skin. By your 20’s the turnover rate slows to around 22 days and up to every 50 days later in life. If you discover a buildup of dull skin, wrinkles, loss of elasticity, or uneven skin tone, then it may be time to send your skin to the gym.

    The two best ways to improve the health and fitness of your skin are fighting against damaging free radicals and improving your diet. Free radicals are highly reactive atoms or groups of atoms that interact with your cells. The sun and pollution are the top two ways that free radicals get into our bodies. When they do so, free radicals react with DNA cells, which begin to function poorly and can die completely. This is in turn, affects cell function and speeds up the aging process. Antioxidants are the defense system to fight against free radicals and the damage they can cause.

    Where can you get antioxidants?

    To increase your chances of adding antioxidants to your body you can fill your plate with fresh vegetables in a rainbow of colors and make sure your skincare includes the same pure ingredients from nature. Look for foods high on the ORAC scale. ORAC is short for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacityan, and measures the antioxidant capacity of foods. The higher, the better.

  • Below Deck Mediterranean Bikini Ready!

    If you follow Kayo, you know that my business partner and co-creator of Kayo Better Body Care is the beautiful and perpetually fit Christine Bullock. So when I was informed that I was going to be on the Bravo TV show Below Deck Mediterranean next to Christine…in a bikini….on national TV….I knew I had some work to do.

    To make things worse I started my bikini shopping and was informed that the “Brazilian” bikini bottom was all the rage (think the bikini thongs of the 1980’s mixed with the low rise of the 1990’s, a.k.a. almost zero coverage). Fortunately I was given about one months’ notice – just the amount of time to get the full benefits of a heathy diet, Evolution 20 workouts, and Kayo’s Concentrated Slimming Serum. I immediately called Christine and demanded her best tips, here they are:

    1. Start each morning with a cup of hot water and lemon to cleanse, when overloaded with toxicity can hold on to weight and accentuate cellulite. You can add a bit of pure honey and cinnamon for taste and metabolic boost. 
    2. Cut all dairy, gluten, processed foods, and processed sugars out on the weekdays. Try and cut them on the weekends too, but if this is torture you can add in sparingly. There are plenty of foods you can indulge with eating a plant-based diet.
    3. Baby got back - or get some back quick building and lifting the muscles of the glutes. Run the stairs, perform squat jumps, lunges from all directions and leg lifts on all 4’s. *Add a band or weights to ankles during leg lifts for an added booty boost.
